I liked VB.Net, because it was easy, and had a nice, clean object-oriented syntax. I'll admit, that I don't do a lot of GDI+ programming and I'm sure this is an easy answer. In addition to working with Web technologies, we also assume that you understand basic programming constructs, such as variables, For Each loops, and object-oriented programming. When the code differs substantially, this book provides examples in both VB and C#. C style languages/programmers is usually considered more serious than VB and easier to get jobs. It wasn't bad – your typical programming course, and I've had my fair share of those. It inherits many of the best features of C++ and Microsoft Visual Basic, but few of the inconsistencies and anachronisms, resulting in a cleaner and more logical language. Covers C# programming basics, Web and Windows programming, data access, graphics programming with GDI+, and basic networking NET Framework.
